An aspiring actress has been dubbed the “world’s unluckiest woman” after she was attacked by a homeless man who broke her jaw, was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was struck by a car on her way to radiation therapy.
Alli McLaren, 30, describes the ‘unfortunate series of events’ that left her with a traumatic brain injury and two broken feet in a now-viral TikTok video.
“I’m the guy who lives that ‘can’t catch a break lifestyle,'” McLaren, a Los Angeles resident originally from Australia, tells viewers in a clip that garnered 1.6 million views.
She explains in the video that her life started to take a turn for the worse in October 2021, when a homeless man assaulted her in the City of Angels.
McLaren was a social butterfly at the time, with many friends who enjoyed going out on the town and having fun. But when she returned from Starbucks on her last day of what she described as a “toxic job,” the TikTok star was punched in the head by a homeless man.

“He crossed the street and I saw him out of the corner of my eye,” he told Media Drum. ‘He hit my phone, which broke on impact and I fell. It all happened in about two seconds.
She said she sought medical attention at an urgent care center in West Hollywood, where doctors told her she had a concussion but “seemed fine” and dismissed her concerns.
But he began to feel pain in his jaw a month later, and a dentist confirmed that his jaw was fractured from the attack.
McLaren said in a video posted in June that the dentist originally told him it would heal itself. But three months later, he said, he was in “more pain than ever and couldn’t eat solid food.”
At that point, he said, he sought another opinion from a different dentist who took another X-ray that showed the fracture was even worse than before.
After attempts to wire her jaw failed, the New York Post She was reportedly forced to wait another two months before undergoing oral surgery to repair the fracture.
McLaren explained on the now-viral TikTok: “I had to have jaw surgery to fix it, and my immune system was very weak and I ended up getting an infection and pneumonia.”
During that bout of pneumonia, the Post reports, he fell and hit his head, resulting in a traumatic brain injury that led to back-to-back seizures.

And when she went to receive radiation treatment at a local hospital last month, she was hit by a driver and failed to brake at a stop sign.
The accident left her with two broken feet.

Online, some TikTok users praised the drifter for pulling off the hit that ultimately led to the discovery of the tumor.

But McLaren says it disagrees.

“I’ve really struggled to be honest,” she said. “I have had depression and anxiety.
“I also feel very uncomfortable walking around people on the street because I don’t trust anyone,” McLaren revealed, before saying she “was demoted… because I had to work from home a lot and ended up leaving after that.” so financially it’s been a strain.
And she said, ‘I don’t have as many friends as before.
“I stopped responding to messages and I stopped showing up in places,” he explained. “Most of the time I’m super tired and just don’t have energy.
“I used to be very social and now I have a hard time leaving my house.”
Sometimes, McLaren said, she gets angry at random, which has estranged her from many of her friends.
She said she now only has ‘tolerant’ friends and family who are not easily offended by her behaviour.

McLaren is an aspiring actress who lives in Los Angeles and is originally from Australia.
But through it all, McLaren remains positive, even recently joking on TikTok that nothing bad has happened to her since she was hit by a car last month.
“I think I stay strong knowing that it can’t be like this forever and also knowing that one day I’ll wake up and be in no more pain,” she said.
‘I believe that everything happens for a reason. I hope one day to write a book about it and continue to use my platform to talk about chaotic life.”
McLaren added that it believes all these tests have made it stronger.
“We don’t choose our lives and what happens to us, but we do choose how to take what happens to us and turn it into something beautiful.”
