Today’s daily deals include the elusive GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card selling at MSRP, the 2nd Gen Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, an excellent Hisense U6H gaming TV, the upgraded WD Black SN850X SSD for the PS5 console, and more below.
MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio GPU at MSRP
Here’s a GeForce RTX 4090 selling at MSRP! The stock RTX 4090 normally sells for $1599.99. That’s similar to the MSI Gaming Trio (without X). the game X Trio is OC’ed out of the box with a slightly higher boost clock and only a $50 top-up. Everyone knows by now that the RTX 4090 is the undisputed king of the hill. It is significantly more powerful than any other NVIDIA card. It’s ridiculously more powerful than any AMD card out there, thanks to its DLSS 3.0 support and wonderful mastery of ray tracing technology.
Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller for $116
The Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller is fundamentally the same controller as the previous generation Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller with a much lower MSRP. The Elite Series 2 Core Controller boasts pro-gaming features like adjustable-tension control sticks, wraparound rubber grip, and shorter trigger locks. Microsoft was able to significantly reduce the price by removing some of the accessories that came with the original Elite controller. Specifically, the Elite Series 2 Core does not come with additional paddles, navigation controls, and d-pad. These accessories are still compatible with the Elite Series 2 Core, but if you want to get them, you’ll need to purchase them separately.
Hisense U6H 75″ 4K QLED Google TV for $649.99
Amazon currently has 2022 Hisense U6H Google 75″ QLED 4K TV for just $649.99. This was one of the best-selling TVs during Black Friday. The Hisense U6H is a 2022 TV model that offers many features for a 65″ TV at the price of $500. This TV features a Quantum Dot Display (QLED) with a Full Array LED-backlit panel with Wide Color Gamut Local Area Dimming (ULED). It also has a high peak brightness of 600 nits, meaning it’s a solid TV option for brightly lit rooms with poor light control. Although the U6H doesn’t have a 120Hz panel, it’s still a good choice for a gaming TV because it has a variable refresh rate and very low response time.
WD Black SN850X 2TB PS5 SSD From $179.99
Amazon has the newest WD Black Series SN850X M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD at the best price we’ve seen. The SN850X is the successor to the SN850 SSD. It has newer flash chips (BiCS5 vs BiCS4) and updated firmware, which combined offer improved sequential and random read/write speeds. For PC gamers, there is also an updated Game Mode 2.0 utility that is designed to tune the SSD for better performance during gaming sessions.
HYTE Revolt 3 SFF Premium ITX PC Case with 700W Gold SFX PSU for $129.99
This is a phenomenal price for one of the best ITX cases out there. It retails for $250 and we’ve seen it for just under $200, but never this cheap. Note that it comes with a 700W 80PLUS Gold SFX power supply, which would cost you quite a bit of money. Despite its small 18L size, it can accommodate surprisingly beefy components and cooling, like a 280mm radiator and video cards up to 335mm long. Several people have installed an RTX 3080 GPU in this little thing.
PowerColor Red Devil AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card (RTX 4080 equivalent) for $1079.99
The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX is AMD’s flagship card and is powerful enough to challenge the mighty GeForce RTX 40-series cards. In fact, it actually performs quite a bit. betterthan the RTX 4080 video card out of ray tracing. It’s also $120 cheaper right now than the RTX 4080’s retail price (though vendors still charge more than MSRP in most cases). If ray tracing is important to you, you should always stick with NVIDIA cards. If you don’t mind ray tracing, then the RX 7900 XTX offers a better price-performance ratio.
$500 Off Epson Home Cinema 5050UB 4K PRO-UHD 3-Chip LCD Projector
The Epson 5050UB is, in my opinion, the best projector you’ll find for under $3K. In fact, it’s close to the best projector you’ll find for under $4K. The 5050UB launched in 2019, but so far no 4K projector in its price range has been able to match its incredible black levels and contrast ratio. In a room with the right lighting, it’s indistinguishable from a premium TV. The two-way 4K resolution is also very good…it’s not native 4K, but it’s a big step up in sharpness from 1080p. It’s also flexible in terms of setup thanks to its generous horizontal and vertical motorized lens shift. It’s rarely discounted (in fact, early last year it was hard to even find one in stock), so grab this one quick.
$400 Off Meta Quest Pro VR Headset
Today, Amazon has lowered the price of Meta Quest Pro from $1499.99 to $1099.99. That’s a pretty big discount considering the fact that Quest Pro launched only a few months ago. Of course, that is still much more expensive than the mission 2, which starts at $399.99. The Quest 2 remains our recommendation for pure gamers. The Quest Pro would probably make a great gaming headset, but the price and features gear it more toward mixed reality and AR developers.
1 month free trial of Paramount Plus
For a limited time, Paramount is offering new and returning subscribers a free one-month trial of the Paramount Plus streaming service (instead of the normal 7-day trial) when you enter the code: “THE PACKAGE IS BACK“. You can choose the Essential or Premium plan for your trial. You will be able to see the new Teen Wolf: The Movie and Top Gun: Maverick, as well as other Paramount Plus exclusives like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds or South Park: The streaming wars .
PowerColor Fighter AMD Radeon RX 6800 graphics card (almost equivalent to RTX 3080) for $479.99
Includes Dead Island 2 and the Callisto Protocol
Here’s your chance to get performance comparable to a GeForce RTX 3080 at a much better price. The Radeon RX 6800 is only 3% slower than an RTX 3080. The RTX 3080 has an MSRP of $699.99 but it’s hard to find such a card at its retail price; usually you will have to pay additional margin. The Radeon RX 6800 launched at an MSRP of $579 and is now $100 cheaper. It may not have the ray tracing performance or DLSS feature of NVIDIA cards, but with this price discrepancy, who cares?
